Some come to laugh their past away
Some come to make it just one more day
Whichever way your pleasure tends
if you plant ice you're gonna harvest wind

Was that the one? You’ll have to forgive me but I assumed the question to be rhetorical.

Quick, glib response: we all muddle through life as best we can, some seek to distance themselves from the regrets of the past and some see getting through another day without succumbing to the inevitable darkness as a triumph. It’s all transient, and ultimately gone, so seize whatever moments come to you while you still hold your place in the light. How you spend your time is your choice, but be sure that your actions will have consequences – so make them good ones, or be prepared to pay the price.

If you want a more detailed analysis than that (and I’m not entirely sure I could manage one) you’ll have to grant me a little more time, oh obstreperous one.

By the way – enlighten me, if you would, as to the Garp connection. That passed me by.

Rob, (and snori and any UK visitors) In case you hadn't noticed, The Pink Floyd Story is on BBC1 tonight at 10:45. Celebration of the band's 40th anniversary. Interviews and rare archive footage.

Hi JH and Rob,
Yeah, I'd spotted that Floyd prog. and I'll be tuning in later. Like you I'm out of the sickbed and off the pills - that was a bastard of a virus !!
Did either of you hear that Bill Graham prog. Saturday morning ? Reasonably good I thought but 1/2 hour isn't enough.

Yes I did. There was just enough to make me want to know more. Especially his early life. There was a mention of Hitler which intrigued me. And hardly any mention of the Dead. Must look out for his biography.
